5 BRIGHT PLANETS ALL IN A ROW

You might
need  to bundle up and brave the
morning chill, but you're in for an amazing show during the next four weeks.
From January 20 to February 20, five planets will be visible in the sky for
predawn and dawn stargazers.

Currently, you can
see Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Saturn in the morning sky, but Mercury is about
to join the lineup as well. It's the first time the five "bright"
planets will be visible at the same time since 2005.   The
waning crescent moon will also appear next to the bright planets at the end of
January.

The timing of when
each planet will rise in the sky depends on where you live, but Jupiter will
pop up first, followed by Mars, Saturn, Venus, and Mercury.

This is
"essentially a quirk of the universe,
as each planet has its own orbit cycle, so when they lineup, it's rare
and "certainly worth seeing.

Getting up early on
a dark and cold morning not your thing?  You're
in luck, these same five bright planets will also appear in the evening sky
this summer, from August 13th through the 19th.
