Super Moon, Black Moon, Blood Moon, Total Eclipse - Putting It All Together

In this series I have talked about blood moons and total eclipses of the sun.  Today, I will talk about the coming super moon and black moon.  Finally, a video from Pastor John Hagee, author of the book "The Coming Four Blood Moons" putting this all together in view of the Holy Bible and what God is showing us.  Are you watching the sky?  Paying attention to the signs of Heaven?  R U Ready?

A super moon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The technical name is the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. The term "super moon" is not astronomical, but originated in modern astrology. The association of the Moon with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that the super moon phenomenon may be associated with increased risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, but the evidence of such a link is widely held to be unconvincing.

The most recent occurrences were on June 23, 2013, as the closest and largest full moon of the year and the Moon’s closest encounter with Earth for all of 2013, and on Jan. 1, 2014. The next occurrence will be on Jan. 30th, 2014.

The opposite phenomenon, an apogee-syzygy, has been called a micro moon, though this term is not as widespread as super moon.

 




A black moon is a reference to one of four astronomical events involving new or dark moons. There is a range of, often contradictory, definitions of a black moon, some suggesting it is when there are two dark cycles of the moon in any given calendar month, and others where no full moon is present in a calendar month, being contradictory as one can only ever happen in a February, and the other can only ever occur in any other month. It is treated by Wicca as a powerful astrological period in which any magical works performed would be more effective.




So, this year is off to a great and supernatural start.  January 1, 2014 was a super moon, January 30, 2014 will be a super moon and a black moon.  This brings us now to April 15, 2014 when the first of the blood moons commence.  Pastor John Hagee presents his sermon series on this subject in the following link.  The video includes all 3 parts to his series for your viewing convenience.

BLOOD MOON SIGNS: What Does It Mean?

  There has been a lot of talk and discussion about the Blood Moons phenomenon this year.   Every time you turn around someone's posting a video or blog about them.   But what does this mean to you, to Israel, or to the world? We know the first blood moon is April 15, 2014.   And that is the date on the Gregorian calendar.   This is the calendar you and I use every day.    Basically, it is the world's calendar.   But there is another calendar, the Hebrew calendar used by Israel.   However, the Hebrew calendar is God's calendar.   So, April 15, 2014 is also Nisan 15, 5774 which seems strange to us, but not to God or the Jews.   God has been using His calendar since the beginning of time!
